

Hospice and Palliative Care is the active care of patients with advanced, progressive and incurable disease and is an approach that seeks to improve the quality of life of patients and their families facing the problems associated with life-threatening illness. The goal is to prevent and relieve suffering through treatment of pain as well as address other problems, both physical and spiritual. While the Hospice Agency provides the skilled staff to treat the individual, the day to day care giving duties are performed by family and friends. When those tasks become overwhelming for the family care giver, Arcadia Health Care can provide hospice trained aides to supplement and complement Hospice Services with compassion, comfort, dignity, and reassurance.
